Across the dataset, the average car removed from a UK dealer forecourt in May was 6.3 years old with 46,343 miles, priced at just over £15,000. The average listing lasted 22.8 days before removal.
Used car fuel type breakdown
Petrol accounts for just over half of all listings removed during May. Diesel sits at 28%. Combined hybrid, PHEV and full electric make up 18.6% of the dataset.
Which used cars were delisted fastest in May 2026
Models with the shortest average listing duration before removal. Only models with 200+ listings across 20+ dealers are included.

The Kia Sportage and Volvo XC40 were delisted fastest in May, both averaging under 21 days on the forecourt. Ford placed two models in the top four with the Kuga and Puma. The Audi A1 was the fastest-moving premium hatchback.

The Vauxhall Corsa sat longest at 27.2 days, nearly a full week longer than the fastest movers. Volkswagen placed three models in the bottom seven: Golf, Polo and Tiguan. The BMW 3 Series was the longest-listed premium model at 25.2 days.

Used car price reductions by model
About 1 in 4 listings in the dataset had a price reduction of more than 1% during their time on the forecourt. Some models saw reductions far more often than others.

The Vauxhall Mokka, Peugeot 2008 and Vauxhall Corsa all had roughly 2 in 5 listings reduced. These are high-volume mainstream models with heavy forecourt supply. The Volkswagen Tiguan stands out for the largest average cut at £1,141.
The Corsa appears in both the slowest-moving and most-reduced tables. It sat longest and was cut most often, consistent with oversupply relative to demand.
